First of all, you need to register with eBay to become a member and bid/buy items.
You should have 3 things ready before you buy an eBay account:
A secure computer
You will need to submit your personal financial information to eBay; there is simply no way around it, except maybe signing up using your business information if you have a business.
It’s smart to be careful when providing such information, especially in the anonymous online world.
However, eBay is as secure as a website can be and does a good job of keeping your private information private and secure. If your information is compromised, you are most likely the one accidentally giving it to a scammer, not eBay.
For now, we cover security on your own computer.
First, you must have a good security/antivirus program running on your computer for eBay account buy, such as Norton Internet Security, MacAfee, etc. There are many programs floating around the World Wide Web that try to infect an unprotected computer to steal information, change its programming, use your computer as a drone, etc.

So if you were infected and you signed up for an online service or paid for a purchase with a credit card, they would know your username, password, card number, expiration date, etc.
A couple of free programs of account eBay for sale that you can use to protect your computer and keep it clean and running faster are Spybot Search and Destroy, AVG Anti-Spyware, AVG Anti-Root kit, and Lavasoft AdAware SE. You can go to download, search and download/install each of these programs. I’m not recommending that you stop there. However you should probably have at least one paid program to further protect your computer.
2. Your personal financial information on hand because you will need it when you sign up.
3. Email address
You can get one for free from email account Yahoo or Google (Gmail), just go to either site and look for a “mail” or “Gmail” link. Follow these instructions to set up an account; it’s quick and easy.
Once you have strengthened your computer and feel secure, have your email address and personal information handy, continue with the registration process.
Just go to the eBay website and get selling eBay accounts and find and click the “sign up” link, which is displayed right now in the top center of the eBay site. They change their design periodically, but I imagine they will keep the registration link in this easy-to-see location.
Registration is simple; just follow the steps shown on the screen.
Your eBay username or ID may be related to your interests, etc., and your choice is not as important as if you were planning to be a seller. You can always change it in the future if you want after you have been registered for at least one month.
Your password include uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers, ideally easy for you to remember but relatively complex in terms of combining letters and numbers.
After clicking on the confirmation link that eBay sends to your email address, you are a member and can buy and sell on eBay. Congratulations!
There are some limitations on what you can do, being a new member without any feedback.
